Sindh chief minister flays centre, says foundation stone of KRC to be laid in September

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday criticized the center for what he said treating Sindh unfairly.

Speaking in the Sindh Assembly, he said Sindh was being subjected to injustice with load shedding of over 20 hours a day. "Each part of Sindh is being subjected to atrocities by federation".

He said the Sindh government has cleared all the outstanding dues and it posses all the documentary evidence in this regard.

Later on, speaking at a press conference Shah said said foundation stone of Karachi Circular Railway project would be laid in September this year.

The chief minister said he was invited for a visit to China by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, adding that Chinese President expressed his pleasure over the arrival of the four chief minister of Pakistan’s federating units.

Commenting on China’s One Road One Belt, he said the initiative would link as many as 64 countries including European countries.

When asked to comment on Pak Sar Zameen Party’s recent protest in Karachi, Shah said the former Karachi mayor is becoming Altaf Hussain 2.

“Protesters had assured authroties of ending the demonstration at FTC but later they announced to march on Chief Minister House. I am not the only one who reside there, other people also live near the Chief Minister House,” he said.

He said demonstrators arrested from the demonstration have been released. He also expressed reservations over the “inappropriate language” used in the media against his government.
