PM asks investors to benefit from economic revival of Pakistan

HONG KONG: Prime Minister Nawas Sharif has urged prospective investors to benefit from economic revival of Pakistan, saying Pakistan is highly attractive destination for investment that no global player can afford to miss.

The Prime Minister was speaking at "One Belt-One Road Pakistan Investment Forum" in Hong Kong on Wednesday.

He said Pakistan has sixth largest population in the world, rising middle class, rich human and natural resources, strategic location and political stability.

Inviting the entrepreneur to benefit from economic revival of Pakistan, he said, “Pakistan is ready to do business with the world.”

PM Nawaz went on to say Pakistan is a gateway to energy rich Central Asia, oil rich Gulf and economically advanced Far East. “It stands at the cross-roads of an economic revolution which would produce win-win outcome for all.”

Earlier, the heads of Hong Kong’s top companies called on PM Nawaz and showed interest in investment in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister’s separate meetings with Chairman ZTE Corporation Yin Yimin, Chairman Shandong High-Speed Group Sun Liang and Chairman Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited Wang Dong focused on developing business linkages in the public-private sector of Pakistan and Hong Kong.

He apprised the company heads about Pakistan’s investment-friendly policies that offered incentives for foreign businessmen.

The corporate heads thanked the Prime Minister for an opportunity of meeting them and said they would work over exploring the potential of trade and business with Pakistan.
