FPCCI names CPEC biggest achievement of the government
ISLAMABAD: The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) declared China Pakistan Economic Corridor a major accomplishment of the government.It claimed that CPEC is the most integral part of China’s One Belt One Road project, connecting 68 countries and having over 40% of the global GDP.
In a statement, Chairman FPCCI Regional Committee on Industries Atif Ikram Sheikh said that some countries are criticising this project and presenting narrative that are conspiracies but their schemes will never succeed as the process of development is irreversible.
He added that China is investing 150 billion dollars on OBOR and has already invested over one trillion dollars therefore the matter of abandoning the project is impossible and a useless claim.
He concluded by saying that both CPEC and OBOR are realities and the sooner its critiques accept it and not resist it to let this project progress on a better pace, the better.
