Martyrs of Wagah Border laid to rest

FAISALABAD: Bodies of 9 people of the same family who lost their lives in the Wagah border suicide bombing have reached their home town of Sumandari, a district of Faisalabad.

Resident of Chak number 471 G.B Mohammad Zafar had gone to Lahore to witness the ceremony at the Wagah Border with 18 family members.

9 of them, 4 women and 5 children died in the tragic incident. The children have been identified as 3 year old Aman Fatima, Hadia, Rabab, 4 year old Hoor Yasmin and 5 year old Haleema Sadia. The women who lost their lives were identified as 25 year old Imrana, 17 year old Zahida and Javeria and 55 year old Ramzana Bibi.

Bodies of 4 Ranger officials who lost their lives in the attack have also been sent to their ancestral towns after funeral prayer.

Funeral prayers of martyred soldiers Inspector Rizwan, Naik Bashir Ahmed and lance naik Mohammad Sultan were held at the Shohada Ground Rangers Headquarter. The funeral prayers were attended by Governer Punjab Chaudary Sarwar, Core Cammander Lahore Naveed Zaman, DJ Rangers Khan Tahir Javed and other high officials and personnel.
