Wagah Border resounds with Pakistan Zindabad

LAHORE – Giving a loud message to terrorists and anti-Pakistan elements that they could not haunt the valiant Pakistani nation through covert acts, Pakistan Rangers allowed the general public to witness the flag-lowering ceremony the very next day on Monday after a suicide attack near the parade venue on the Wagah Border on Sunday.

A large number of enthusiastic people rushed to the border to witness the flag-lowering ceremony, while Lahore Corps Commander Lt Gen Naveed Zaman and Chenab Pakistan Rangers Director General Tahir Javed Khan ensured their special participation in the ceremony.

During the ceremony the parade ground resounded with Pakistan Zindabad slogans by the participants giving a clear message to the anti-state elements of their courage and patriotism. Later talking to media Lahore the corps commander expressed profound sorrow and grief over loss of innocent lives in the suicide attack near Wagah Border and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace. He also expressed sympathies with the affected families.

The corps commander said Pakistani nation had proved that they could never be terrorised through such covert and mischievous activities by the extremists and terrorists. Such terror acts could not diminish courage and national zeal of the people of Pakistan.
