PM Nawaz questions power ministry on over billing
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif chaired a cabinet meeting on Thursday during which he questioned the Minister for Water and Power over the inflated billing of electricity, Geo News reported.
During the meeting, PM Nawaz inquired from Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif regarding the action taken so far pertaining to over billing of electricity. In his response, Khawaja Asif briefed the premier over the matter and apprised him that the ministry is setting up a comprehensive mechanism to counter over billing issue.
It was decided during the cabinet meeting that customers’ complaints will be addressed at any cost and steps are being taken to provide relief to the affected customers.
