President urges corruption-free governance

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday urged the civil servants to do their best in ensuring corruption-free governance and has asked them to serve the nation with utmost dedication and honesty.
He shared these views during a meeting with the civil servants who were promoted to Grade-22 at the Presidency.
According to a press release, the president emphasised that the officers should perform their duties with maximum commitment and told them to remain conscious of the fact that the decisions and actions taken by them would impact the lives of about 180 million citizens of the country.
“You have now reached the pinnacle of your career. With this, greater responsibilities fall on your shoulders to work for the betterment and welfare of the masses of our country,” he said. The president said that the senior civil servants should be the true ideals for their juniors to emulate. “Your conduct, performance and professional capabilities should be such that future generations of civil servants follow in your footsteps in dispensation of their official duties,” he added.
