Sit-ins failed, conspiracies exposed: Fazalur Rehman

MULTAN: Chief of the Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam(JUI), Maulana Fazalur Rehman has said the nation has had to deal with immature politics by some.

He was optimistic though that the sit-ins have failed and conspiracies have been exposed.

According to the JUI chief no one in the country even cares about the sit ins anymore.

He strongly condemned the Kot Radha Kishan incident saying that burning alive anyone belonging to any religion is cruel and the government should punish the culprits.

Talking to media after offering his condolences on the demise of his former district amir, Haji Anwar, Maulana Fazalur Rehman said the dangerous conspiracy against democracy has come to an end.

He was off the view that the damage caused to the country by the sit-ins was far greater than any damaged caused by 50 or 60 years of corruption.

He further said the decision to retract from the decision over no confidence had been taken after consultations.

Maulana asked the government to inform him about the suicide attack on him or else take responsibility of the attacks.

He concluded by saying that some forces were acting against the democratic process hence extremism is swiftly replacing democracy.
