ISI chief calls on president
Mamnoon felicitates Rizwan on his new dutiesISLAMABAD – Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar called on President Mamnoon Hussain at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The president felicitated Lt Gen Rizwan on his appointment as the ISI chief and wished him well in the discharge of his new responsibilities. He expressed confidence that professional expertise of Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar would provide an impetus to further strengthening the intelligence apparatus and defence of the country.
A press release issued here after the meeting also said that the current security situation and professional matters also came under discussion.
