Thar famine: MQM lawmakers slam Qaim Ali Shah

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members of Sindh assembly (MPAs) on Thursday severely criticized Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led provincial government and held them responsible for famine in Thar.

Addressing a press conference here with other MPAs, Khawaja Izhar ul Hasan said that Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah took also an exception to Qaim Ali Shah for holding so many portfolios.

Another MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari said the Sindh government was giving new illogical reasons to hide its mismanagement in Thar famine issue and adding fuel to the fire.

Former Provincial Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed also criticized CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and accused him of intervening and destroying every department of the province.

He urged CM Sindh to refrain from passing the buck to others for his own failure.
