ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs , Sartaj Aziz said Monday that why should Pakistan target those militants who are not a threat to its security.

“Those who are enemies of America have now become our enemies for no reason,” said Aziz in an interview with BBC Urdu.

He said that Pakistan has taken a huge step to prevent activities of those militants who attack US by destroying their infrastructure and capabilities.

Sartaj Aziz said that Afghan Taliban were Afghanistan’s problem while the Haqqani Network was also part of the Taliban. “It is Afghan government’s responsibility to engage them in talks,” he added.

The Adviser said that Pakistan-US relations were also improving and there was no trust deficit between the two countries.
