Mirza stages sit-in in Badin, against government corruption

BADIN: Former Home Minister Sindh, Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza held a protest sit-in outside the DC Office in Badin against the district administration.

Speaking to journalists, Mirza claimed in order to have legitimate issues of his people resolved, he had brought Rs. 2 million in cash to bribe the district officials.

Mirza alleged that officials in the district administration offices have surpassed all records of loot and plunder. He added that heavy bribes are being sought for issuing birth certificates all the way to transferring land allotments.

Zulfiqar Mirza told journalists that he hopes he will be able to make the government officials aware of the situation through his sit-in.

Zulfiqar Mirza served as the Sindh Home Minister during the 2008-2013 PPP-led government. He was elected from Badin. Currently his Son, Hassnain Mirza is the elected member of the Sindh Assembly from Badin.
