Pakistan keen to develop bilateral ties with Sudan: Zafarul Haq

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and leader of the House in Senate Raja Zafarul Haq has said that Pakistan and Sudan enjoy cordial and friend relations besides bilateral cooperation in diverse fields.

He was talking to the visiting Minister of Investment of Republic of Sudan Dr Mustafa Osman Ismail who called on him here on Tuesday. Dr Mustafa expressed his deep appreciation for the support of Pakistan to Sudan during its period of struggle in maintaining its territorial integrity and national unity against internal and external threats. Zafarul Haq assured him that the government of Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif holds the Republic of Sudan in very high esteem and keen to develop bilateral relationship in the field of economic collaboration, mutual investment in each other country and political support for the causes of peace and stability.

He said that like Sudan, Pakistan is also struggling to develop economic and trade relations with all friendly countries and desire peace within country as well as in the region so that state resources are utilised for the benefit of common people The visiting minister also invited Zafarul Haq to visit Sudan. Dr Mustafa who has served as ambassador of Sudan to Pakistan was widely respected for his sincerity and commitment to further develop bilateral relationship between the two countries.
