Pakistan keen to enhance relations with Sudan: president

ISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussain has offered to provide skilled manpower to Sudan in banking, medical, textile, agriculture and infrastructure sectors.

He was talking to the Special Envoy to President of Sudan and Minister for Investment Dr Mustafa Osman Ismail here on Wednesday. The president said that Pakistan was keen to enhance the existing relations with Sudan in all domains, particularly trade, economic and defence fields.

Mamnoon said both the countries should continue exploring avenues for future cooperation and further increasing the volume of trade between the two countries. He expressed the hope that the proposed 3rd round of Pakistan-Sudan Joint Ministerial Commission would be held early next year which would further enhance bilateral economic cooperation.

The president also appraised the special envoy about Kashmir issue and urged the government of Sudan to support Pakistan on this issue.
