Snowfall in quake affected areas aggravates problems of victims
SHANGLA - The second snowfall of winter season here at upper parts and on hilltops of the district on Monday increased cold wave besides aggravating the problems of quake affected people.
Continuous rains from last two days with snowfall have forced the affected people, who were residing in tents to move to lower areas of Basham, Alpuri, Pooran, Shahpoor as it has become difficult for affected people to reside in tent. APP correspondent reported that females, elderly and children were suffering from fever, flu, cough and cold due to extreme weather condition, adding that the mercury level is being reported in minus.
He said that Pakistan Army and district administration were engaged in relief activities but snowfall coupled with heavy rainfall was hampering the relief activities.
