Malaysian envoy calls Pakistanis very hospitable
Dr Hasrul appreciates religious and cultural diversity in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Ambassador of Malaysia Dr Hasrul Sani Mujtaba said on Friday that both Pakistan and Malaysia believe in unity, diversity and tolerance as both have historical identity and rich biodiversity of flora and fauna.

Talking to a private news channel, he said that the cultural exchanges programme between Pakistan and Malaysia could greatly help enhance people-to-people contacts.He was wearing the traditional costume of Sabah which represents the message of peace, harmony and unity and a unique as there are 13 ethnic groups in Malaysia.

"I felt very happy to be in Pakistan and talked to the people and they are very hospitable as I have been here for three years and found this country so unique and exciting." He said that Pakistan was a country with huge civilizations such as Islam, Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism and others.

Replying to a question, he said that through cultural exchanges and visits the friendship between the two countries could be further strengthened.Aboutstudents’ exchange programmes, he said it was encouraging that the number of students have increased from year-by-year. There are 5000 Pakistani students,lecturers,teachers and professors in Malaysia, he said.
