LG polls shattered Imran Khan’s ‘container’ claims
LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique on Sunday said the claims made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan from atop his ‘political container’ smashed to pieces following the first phase of Local Government elections in the Punjab.
In a media statement here, Khawaja Saad Rafique said people elected ‘Lion’ (election symbol of Pakistan Muslim League-N) in both general elections of 2013 and the first phase of Local Government elections in the Punjab.
The Railways Minister said PML-N did not give its election ticket to any ‘Lota’ (turncoat) in its constituency for LG polls.
He said PML-N allowed PTI to form its government in KPK despite the fact that the latter did not have majority seats in the province.
