Govt plans to set up 73 new passport offices

ISLAMABAD: The government will establish 73 additional regional passport offices at district level to facilitate people. According to a report, Interior Ministry has planned that these offices will be set up during the next 15 months. At present, there are 95 regional passport offices functioning across the country catering the requirements of the general public. Meanwhile, the passport home delivery system recently launched in Islamabad and Rawalpindi would be expanded to cover the entire country in four months. A complete online application system for passports will also be launched by March next year.
