NewsSartaj Aziz terms opposition of CPEC ‘unwise’
ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz Wednesday termed any opposition of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as unwise, arguing that the initiative will yield dividends for the entire region.
“Pak-China Economic Corridor will on the one hand interlink south-Asia and on the other bring closer the central Asian states,” Sartaj Aziz explained while addressing a seminar here.
He further clarified that the bilateral cooperation under CPEC must not be seen as a bond built against any other country. On the contrary, he described this cooperation as of great significance, saying it will also lead to improved transportation and supply of energy.
