Accountability court summons Dar’s sons in assets reference case
The hearing is set to resume tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The accountability court hearing a corruption case filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar upon directions of the Supreme Court of Pakistan has summoned the minister’s sons for tomorrow’s hearing at the judicial complex.

Dar’s sons Ali Mustafa and Mujtaba Husnain recieved the summons when in Dubai after which they travelled to London where their father is also present on medical grounds.

Dar is reportedly in London, but is likely to attend the accountability court hearing in Islamabad tommorrow.

Ali Mustafa is married to sacked prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Asma.

Bailable arrest warrants were issued to ensure that the finance minister guarantees his presence in the next hearing that has been scheduled for November 2 (Thursday).

Dar is accused of possessing undeclared assets by the NAB prosecutor’s.

Accountability Court judge Mohammad Bashir was informed by the finance minister’s counsel that his client was in London when the last hearing was scheduled for and that Dar was only present in London due to health problems and some tests.
