Nisar urges political parties to work together

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday urged the political parties to work together for strengthening of state institutions.

He said that the country needed political stability to safeguard it from any challenges.

He remarked that there should be coordination and mutual respect among state institutions.

Earlier, Nisar’s statement fueled speculations about rifts in the PML-N. He declined to further comment.

“Whether there was conspiracies in PML-N or not, but the plot can be foiled if the party is united,” he said.

He criticized Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed, who claimed that PML-N intended to delay the 2018 general elections. He said that such people were not the country’s well-wishers.

To a question, he said: “After God, my party leadership and supporters will decide my position in the party.”
