No dispute between Sharif brothers: PM

LONDON: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that there is no minus-Nawaz formula under consideration.

Talking to the media in London on Sunday, the premier said Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif had been on the same page for the last 30 years, and added that there was no dispute between the brothers.

Abbasi added that there was no place for a technocrat government in the constitution.

The PM said that civil-military relationships are becoming stronger and negated the rumors of a forward block in the party.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has summoned a meeting of the party leaders today (Monday) to discuss important issues, including prevailing political situation, graft references, and demand by some political parties for early elections. According to reports, the former prime minister will leave Lahore for Islamabad today (Monday) where he will chair the party meeting at the Punjab House. In addition to party matters, the huddle will discuss political situation and cases against the former prime minister, his family and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
