Pakistan Rangers, BSF talk ends in New Dehli

LAHORE: The three-day 44th bi-annual talk ended between Pakistan Rangers and India’s Border Security Force (BSF) in New Dehli on Friday.

The 19-member delegation was led by Major General Muhammad Saeed while Director General BSF KK Sharma was leading Indian side.

According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), problems related to border management, ceasefire violations and attacks on civilians came under discussions.

The purpose of the talk was to encourage both side forces to resolve minor issues on their own at boarders.

The issue related to inadvertent border-crossers and drug smuggling was also discussed to control such activities.

The meeting also agreed to expedite the legal formalities regarding detention of the fishermen from both sides so that the detained fishermen could be repatriated soon.
