Chehlum processions to be held across country amid tight security
LAHORE: To mark the Chehlum of the Shuhada of Karbala, processions will be held across Pakistan today on Friday.
Security is tight and strict measures have been taken across all major cities in the country to guarantee that all the processions end peacefully.
Cellular services are likely to be suspended in all major cities like Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Peshawar and others until the processions conclude.
Sniper’s have been deployed across all the routes of the processions and the routes are also going to be monitored via CCTV cameras and the routes would also be looked after through aerial surveillance.
