Govt to challenge stay order against OGDC privatization

PESHAWAR: The government on Sunday decided to challenge a Peshawar High Court ‘stay-order’ against the privatization of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGDC), in the Supreme Court.

According to sources, the Privatization Commission will file a petition before the Supreme Court on Thursday. Privatization Commission sources revealed, that schedules for the planned ‘road shows’ have not been altered and will go ahead as planned.

The government wishes to privatize 10% of OGDC which will rake in US$ 885,000,000 for the government.
