Bilawal made ‘namaloom afraad’ comment in light of present situation: Khursheed Shah

SUKKUR - Referring to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Patron-in-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s ‘namaloom afraad’ comment, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah, while speaking to journalists in Sukkur on Tuesday, clarified that Bilawal spoke in light of the present situation, Radio Pakistan reported.

On October 6, Bilawal had lashed out at Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, asking him to control his namaloom afraad. “PPP believes in politics of reconciliation and there is no change in its policy,” Khursheed Shah stated.

Referring to the twin sit-ins in Islamabad, the PPP leader remarked that these protests have negatively affected the country’s economy. He also said that the Chinese president’s visit was postponed because of the sit-ins. The Chinese president’s visit to Pakistan, scheduled for the second week of September, was postponed after his security team failed to provide clearance.

The prevailing political crisis has engulfed the nation’s capital since August 14. Protest leaders Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairperson Imran Khan have laid the blame for the postponement squarely on the government.
