Displaced persons would be rehabilitated into their homes respectfully: PM

BANNU – Acknowledging the sacrifices of the displaced persons on his visit Baka Khel, FR Bannu on Thursday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the affectees would be rehabilitated into their homes respectfully and safely again.

The prime minister ensured that the government would strategically plan the process so this now wrecked place becomes one of the most beautiful places in Pakistan. He said that making the youth of the region self sufficient was one of the prime needs and that it was not just in the imaginations but the government was practically planning to transform this region into a developed one.

He prayed that may God ease the problems of troubled and bless to be of help. Nawaz was briefed about the camp. He was told that 2507 displaced families were living in the camp. The displaced persons were being provided all basic facilities in the camp. Each family was being given fifteen thousand rupees a month.

The prime minister was informed that a school had been opened for the displaced family’s children where 942 students including 305 girls were studying. The services of 28 teachers including seven female and 15 displaced persons had been hired for teaching to the students.
