Fifth consecutive US drone attack in last five days
Strike kills at least four in North Waziristan

PESHAWAR – At least four people were killed and two others injured in a US drone attack in the North Waziristan tribal region, security sources said.

Sources said that the drone fired missiles targeting a vehicle in the Loman area of Dattakhel Tehsil. Today's strike is the fifth consecutive drone attack in the last five days, as the US-led drone campaign targets suspected militants and their hideouts in restive North and South Waziristan.

Drone attacks are widely unpopular across Pakistan and according to survey conducted in June this year, 66 per cent of the country's citizens oppose these strikes. According to details, the strike was carried out in Datta Khel area in which a vehicle was targeted.

After a break of around six months, missile strikes have started again at a time when Pakistan armed forces are also carrying out operation Zarb-e-Azb against the militants in North Waziristan agency.
