No mid-term elections until PM resigns: PPP
By SafiUllah Shahwani

QUETTA: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah has said that it is impossible to hold midterm elections until Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigns, “but it is against the democratic norms to hold elections on the wishes of a few people”.
“The governments always suffer and face serious challenges when they lie. Premier Nawaz Sharif lied to the people of Pakistan that he will address the issue of power crisis and end the load shedding. But it never happened nor seems likely anytime soon. Similarly, he made tall claims regarding inflation and economic prosperity,” Shah told reporters at the residence of Sadiq Umrani, provincial leader of PPP Balochistan. He said Prime Minister Nawaz should tell the truth and stop making “tall and impossible claims” regarding electricity, inflation, law and order and economic prosperity.
“The government is currently facing multiple challenges because it lied to its people. The politics of truth always gets better results,” he added. Shah said there was a planned conspiracy to cancel the visit of Chinese president to Pakistan. “Imran Khan was used to cancel the visit of Chinese president. The world does not want a prosperous and peaceful Pakistan that is why conspiracies are being hatched against the country,” he said.
