Witness identifies two accused in Zahra Shahid murder case

KARACHI: An eye-witness has identified two accused in the murder case of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zahra Shahid.

The accused Rashid alias Tailor and Zahid Abbas Zaidi were presented for an identification parade in Judicial Magistrate Mumtaz Solangi’s court by the Gizri police.

During the parade the two accused who are affiliated with a political party were identified by an eye-witness. In his statement, the eye-witness said Zahid Abbas Zaidi was driving the motorcycle while Rashid was riding in the back and shot Zahra Shahid in the neck.

One of the founding members of PTI, Zahra Shahid was gunned down outside her residence in DHA on 18 May 2013. The murder took place the night before re-election on NA-250.
