MULTAN - Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said on Monday that the country could only make progress through power of votes, while using force could never lead to development.

Addressing the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) workers at local Arts Council, he said that the world had made progress through power of vote, and not through culture of using sticks, cutters and cranes.

He observed that different political parties of Pakistan obtained 45 million votes in general election 2013. He said that the government had not surrender against Talibans who were equipped with arms and how it was possible for the government to accept the use of force by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).

The minister observed that Imran Khan was doing politics of hatred, adding that PTI and PAT should show responsibility instead of hatred and blame game. He stated that leadership of PML-N always showed decency.

He said, if Imran Khan had some proofs against PML-N leadership regarding foreign assets, he should have moved to courts. He, however said that Imran Khan used to accept the decision of court, which were in his favour and criticised courts when decision was given against his expectations.

He said that PTI and PAT sit-ins were meant to stop Chinese Investment in the country. He observed that India attracted investment worth 20 billion dollars from China. He said that Chinese president did not arrive in the country due to security issues developed from the political sit-ins.

He also said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would address to nation in near future to announce strategy for putting country on brisk pace of progress. He said that the prime minister would visit China very soon for bringing massive investment in the country.
