Pakistan an attractive country for investment: PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that Pakistan is an attractive place for investment and the government took several steps to strengthen the country’s economy, Geo News reported.

PM Nawaz Sharif was addressing from the two-day International Investment Conference in Islamabad today.

While addressing the conference, he said that the government took several steps to decrease the fiscal deficit and the conference will help in bringing in the foreign investment. He also assured that the investors will be provided with all the facilities.

The PM further stated that Pakistan has shown progress in terms of improved economic indicators. He said that the government is working in the energy sector to meet the country’s demands.

PM Nawaz said that with the help of government’s steps, foreign exchange reserves of the country increased. He said that there are vast opportunities of investment in all the sectors of Pakistan and told that the government will soon sell the OGDCL shares, and has invited the private sector to invest in the LNG.

Moreover, the premier expressed hope that such investment conferences would be held in future as well.
