Balochistan govt calls for more educational reforms

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that people in 29 districts of the province are living below the poverty line, adding that more educational reforms need to be introduced to alleviate poverty.
He expressed these views during a briefing given by Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairman Senator Anwar Baig and other officials of the BISP on Thursday. “As many as 222,960 people are being given financial aid while 231,103 people who were identified to be given aid are deprived of aid due to non availability of their identity cards,” the BISP chairman said. The provincial chief minister stressed that the unemployed youth should be given technical training to cope with the needs of global market.
