Malaysian army chief meets COAS General Raheel

RAWALPINDI: Malaysian Army Chief General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Bin Raja Mohamed Noor called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday and discussed with him issues of bilateral relations including cooperation in defence sector. Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) said that during meeting of Malaysian Army chief with COAS General Raheel Sharif that was held at General Headquarters (GHQ), defence related issues, training and security cooperation between both the countries and overall regional security situation were briefly discussed. General Tan Sari Raja Mohamed Affandi lauded the sacrifices of armed forces of Pakistan rendered in ongoing fight against terrorism and extremism and acknowledged success of Operation Zarb-e-Azb. Earlier, on his arrival at the GHQ, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.
