PTI to boycott joint sitting of parliament on Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan on Tuesday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would not attend joint session of the parliament that will take place on Wednesday to discuss Indian hostilities at the Line of Control and situation in occupied Kashmir.

Speaking to media after chairing a meeting of his party's central executive committee, he said attending the joint sitting would be tantamount to endorse the parliament.

"I do not accept Nawaz Sharif as prime minister and I don't want to endorse this parliament," he said and insisted that the session would not come up with anything that has not already been discussed in Monday's multi-party conference about Kashmir and Raiwind March.

The PTI chairman once again asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign.
