Parliament adopts resolution condemning Indian atrocities in Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: The joint sitting of the Parliament on Friday unanimously adopted resolution, condemning Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and urging the world community to carry out an independent probe into gross human rights violations in the valley.

The resolution moved by Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, also condemned the repeated ceasefire violations by India and applauded the unwavering commitment of armed forces for the defense of the country.

It condemned false Indian claims of carrying out a surgical strike in Pakistan and added that Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadav was involved in spreading terrorism in Balochistan.

It adds that Pakistan is ready for talks with India over the Kashmir issue provided that it is solved according to the United Nations resolution and plebiscite is held in the occupied territory.

It also called upon the world community to play its role in getting stopped the Indian brutalities in Kashmir which has claimed the lives of about 110 people and pellet injuries to several hundred others during the past three months.

The lawmakers saluted the courage and valiance of Kashmiri people for continuing their freedom movement against worst kinds of Indian oppression.

It rejected Indian claims that occupied Kashmir is an integral part of India, recalling it is a disputed territory on the agenda of the United Nations.

The resolution reiterated Pakistan's desire for result-oriented dialogue with India for resolution of all outstanding disputes including that of Jammu and Kashmir.
