PM’s special envoy briefs Turkish PM on situation in Occupied Kashmir
By APPISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s special envoy on Kashmir Barrister Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha Tuesday met with Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim and informed him about the situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
In the meeting held in Ankara, Barrister Mohsin briefed the Turkish Prime Minister about the violations of human rights being perpetrated by the Indian security forces in Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IOK), said a press release issued here. Besides briefing on Indian Occupied Kashmir, Mohsin Ranjha also handed over a dossier to the Turkish Prime Minister.
Pictorial evidence was also presented to the Turkish Prime Minister about the Indian atrocities in the IOK. The Turkish PM expressed concern about the human rights violations by India in Occupied Kashmir and strongly condemned India’s behavior.
He said, "in the Turkish Assembly next month we will pass a resolution on the human rights violations by India in IOK."
Yildirim said that the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has directed them to raise voice on the IOK issue in the next Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting.
"Turkey will not only raise voice for the Kashmiri people but will also do its best to end the curfew in IOK and restore the rights of the Kashmiri people through the OIC platform," he said.
OIC will also hold a photographic exhibition in which it will expose India before the world for its brutalities in IOK.
"A decision on Kashmir’s future will be emphasised, according to the United Nations charter’s freedom of expression."
The Turkish PM assured Barrister Mohsin that Turkey will fully support Pakistan on the Kashmir issue.
