‘Dawn’s fabricated story breached national security’
ISPR says GHQ meeting saw top officials voice serious concerns over the issue
RAWALPINDI: The Corps commanders expressed serious concerns over the publication of a story regarding national security on Friday.
“Participants (of the meeting) expressed serious concern over feeding of false and fabricated story of an important security meeting at PM House, and viewed it as breach of national security,” said the military’s media wing – Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif presided over the corps commanders’ conference at the General Headquarters (GHQ). All corps commanders and principal staff officers attended the meeting.
The participants also held a comprehensive review of internal and external security situation with focus on the current situation on the Line of Control (LoC) and the army’s operational preparedness.
