Pakistan says India violated ceasefire over 90 times this year

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Nakria has said that India violated ceasefire more than 90 times this year at Line of Control.

Following unprovoked firing by Indian troops early on Sunday, the Spokesman on Monday said, Indian forces have once again resorted to unprovoked firing at the LoC. “India has violated more than 90 times this year.”

The spokesman said Pakistan had never violated the ceasefire agreement, however Indian media has misreported and blamed Pakistan.

Troops of Pakistan Army on Sunday responded in a befitting manner to the unprovoked firing from across the LoC.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian troops carried out firing in Khoiratta (Bhimber) sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir along the LoC.

“Exchange of fire which started at 04:30 hours and lasted till 0700 hours”, ISPR in a news release stated. There was no loss reported, due to the unprovoked firing by Indian troops.
