PTI rebuffs allegations; denies covert agenda
INP

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Shireen Mazari has said that party Chairman Imran Khan took the crucial decision of parting ways with Javed Hashmi after the latter accused him of lying. In a statement issued on Monday, Shireen Mazari said that despite levelling of serious allegations by Hashmi, the PTI adopted the constitutional way and issued him a show-cause notice. She said if Hashmi thought the PTI was linked to the army then he should have immediately resigned. “The fact is that there was no such talk in any meeting nor is there any such covert agenda,” she said. Mazari said that the chairman had said from day one that if the legal venues of redress failed to give justice over PTI’s appeals against rigging, then the party would come out on the roads to protest.
