Gen Campbell calls Gen Sharif at GHQ
Two military heads also discuss coordination along Pak-Afghan border
INPRAWALPINDI – International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Commander General John Campbell called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Monday.
A release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations said that this was maiden visit of General Campbell to the GHQ after assumption of command. During the meeting of two military heads, matters of mutual interest were discussed that included progress of ongoing Zarb-e-Azb military operation.
Latest situation in Afghanistan and coordination along Pak-Afghan border also came under discussion during the meeting. The two sides vowed to further enhance the military coordination to normalise security situation in the region.
