* Any martial law will trigger a big rebellion

MULTAN: Dissident Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Javed Hashmi said on Sunday that the sit-ins in the capital seem to be fruitless as there is no logical end to them.
He also said that the “oppressors have not left any option open for Imran Khan’s return”. Hashmi said if martial law is imposed in the country it will trigger a big rebellion and the country will break into pieces. Addressing a press conference, the elderly politician said that he was still waiting for a show-cause notice from PTI Chairman Imran Khan. “I will send a befitting response in writing to the show-cause (when it is served),” he added. Hashmi said he would like the entire leadership of PTI to look him in the eye when they speak with him.
He said “Imran Khan should come clean” and tell the nation if his decisions were not prompted by “signals”. He said it had been decided inside the PTI leader’s container that there would be no sit-in in front of the Parliament House. He said, later, Imran Khan went atop the container and said the party’s core committee had a meeting.
“In reality, no such meeting was held.” Hashmi said he was shocked “on the distortion of facts by Imran Khan and other leaders of PTI”. He reiterated his claim quoting Imran Khan that everything had been planned.
