MULTAN – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rebel leader Javed Hashmi on Thursday said that politicians, lawyers and media jointly opposed possible imposition of martial law in Pakistan.

Talking to journalists here, Hashmi said that he supported PTI chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Tahirul Qadri's ideology, however, he said the path that both the protesting leaders choose to get their demands met would only make the ruling elite stronger.

He said that Shah Mehmood Qureshi should act like a leader of the party (PTI) he is associated with, instead of behaving like the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He said that he would welcome Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Bilawal Bhutto in Punjab.
