Kaptaan vows to wake nation up
*PTI chairman announces to celebrate Eid in his container
By Sardar Sikander Shaheen

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said he would continue the protest until the nation wakes up and even if it takes a year to send the premier packing.
Moreover, Kaptaan, who had been under criticism for chairing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s meetings without holding any public office in the province, flayed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for running the affairs of Punjab during Shahbaz Sharif’s previous stint as the chief Minister.
Addressing the protesters at D-Chowk, the skipper responded to the criticism from political and public quarters regarding support of “hidden hands” for his protest movement.
“Those who say that this protest movement is a show arranged with the blessings of military, don’t they see people in such a great number are here out of their free will?” Khan said.
“I have already announced to celebrate Eid here in my container. I would offer the animal sacrifice here.”
He asked his supporters to join him at the sit-in on Friday (today). “My dear Pakistanis, be ready to become part of the sea of human beings tomorrow.”
Responding to criticism that he had staged the sit-in only to become the premier, Kaptaan said, “Even if I don’t become the prime minister, I would be so happy to see that I have created awareness among the people of Pakistan regarding their rights.”
He said the PTI’s protests against the rulers had educated people about their rights. “You know why Nawaz Sharif postponed his visit to Sukkur? Because he feared public backlash. This is a slap from the people of Pakistan in the VIP culture’s face.”
The skipper said tax defaulters and money launderers were not qualified to lead a country.
“Men who is a tax evader and money launderer and who has hidden assets in billions of rupees, does he deserve to be prime minister? Can anybody believe a man who is a billionaire but says he does not have any wealth declared in his name? The man who says that he lives in his wife’s house and lives on the money his sons send from abroad?”
In his message to Nawaz, Imran Khan said, “Nawaz Sharif! You have no option but to step down. Your days in power are numbered. Your reluctance in tendering resignation would only brew more problems for you. Each passing day would add to your miseries. I would not let you rule till you call it a day at power.”
