FIA arrests ex-EOBI chairman Zafar Gondal
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested former chairman of Employees Old-Age Benefit Institution (EOBI) Zafar Gondal allegedly involved in Rs42 billion scam after the Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected his protective bail on Tuesday.
Gondal had filed an application in the top court against alleged harassment by the FIA.
However, a three-judge bench of the apex court headed by Justice Saqib Nisar rejected his plea with the remarks that as to how the accused was moving freely without bail despite being a suspect.Courtesy www.thenews.com.pk
