Bust the corrupt in KP if you find any, Imran tells Rangers
* PTI chief says Sindh needs more ‘change’ than any other province

SHIKARPUR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday invited Rangers to clamp down on corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa if anyone thought the provincial government was sparing the corrupt elements.

Addressing PTI workers, Imran claimed that corruption had been eliminated from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that the people of Sindh knew that corruption was the biggest issue in their province. The PTI chief said he would strengthen his movement for local government elections in Sindh, which he said needed more change than any other province of the country.

To a query, he said Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan had assured him that the Election Commission would address PTI’s concerns. “We want by-elections to be conducted under neutral umpires,” he said.

Imran vowed to transfer powers to the local people of small town and villages through the local government elections.

“Corruption destroys a society, and we would fight for the rights of the people of Sindh,” Imran said. The PTI chief claimed that funds for development in Sindh had gone into the pockets of those in power.

Earlier, the PTI chief reached Shikarpur from the Sukkur airport. A large group of workers and supporters of PTI had reached the Sukkur airport to welcome the PTI chairman. Upon his arrival, the people showered Imran Khan’s car with petals to welcome the leadership in Shikarpur.
