JIT formed to probe cases against Waseem Akhtar
KARACHI: Sindh Home Department has issued a notification for constitution of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to interrogate MQM’s jailed Karachi Mayor WaseemAkhtar.
The decision to constitute a JIT came in the light of two recent cases filed against WaseemAkhtar. Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) will head the JIT whereas officers from different security agencies will also be part of it.
Two cases had been registered against Karachi mayor including one in Sachal Police Station and one in Malir City Police Station.
