LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that debts and corruption are ‘explosive mines’ in the way of progress and if the government’s intention is clear then they can answer the four questions in four minutes.

He was talking to PTI’s delegation at his office on Sunday. He said that the government is telling lies to the nation but when the people would know the complete truth about these rulers’ corruption, it will be the last day of their power.

“We will extend the protests till Eid if the government does not answer the questions. We want accountability and do not want chaos in country,” he said.

He said that demands raised by PTI were not unconstitutional and Imran Khan always talks about the supremacy of law and to eradicate corruption from the country. As a matter of fact, Sarwar said, the sitting rulers consider themselves above the law but they will have to answer for their misdeeds and corruption.

The PTI leader said that anyone who did not commit a wrongful act would challenge the accusations and prove their innocence – so if the government has not done anything wrong then it should answers the four questions and if they do so, PTI does not need to hold any protests.

The former governor said that if government doesn't answer PTI’s four questions then the rulers will be responsible for escalation of agitation after Eid.
