It was an accident, don't seek a conspiracy in it: Farooq Sattar

KARACHI: MQM Pakistan chief Dr Farooq Sattar said on Wednesday that he had suffered from an accident and there was no need to seek conspiracies in the event.

Dr Farooq Sattar arrived home on Wednesday night after he was discharged from the hospital. The MQM Pakistan chief claimed that he had suffered from an accident and that it should be treated as such.

"My accident should be considered an accident--no need to seek a conspiracy in it," he said.

Sattar thanked God that his life and the life of his associates as well as guards had been saved in the accident. Farooq Sattar said that he would work and rest as well. However, after a few days, only work would be done, he said.

Dr Farooq Sattar claimed that his sources had informed him that MQM founder Altaf Hussain had also inquired after his health.

Farooq Sattar and three other persons traveling with him from Hyderabad to Karachi were involved in a road accident, on Sunday night. After being treated at Liaquat National Hospital for a couple of days, Dr Farooq Sattar was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday.

Sattar had suffered from injuries to the head, shoulders and back. However, his MRI and CT scans revealed that he had avoided any major injuries.
