MQM London leader says party is nothing without Altaf
LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London based leader Nadeem Nusrat on Tuesday said “MQM is nothing without Altaf Hussain”, rejecting the so-called minus-one formula.
Nusrat, who is convener of the MQM, said that Altaf Hussain was the person who gave Muhajir’s identity. “Altaf Hussain is the embodiment of MQM,” he said, forcing the Karachi based MQM leaders to call an emergency meeting of the party to respond to Nadeem Nusrat’s statement which came a day after they decided to launch a separate website for the MQM-Pakistan.
MQM Pakistan's Rabita Committee issued a statement following the meeting and distanced itself from Nadeem Nusrat's remarks."We have nothing to do with the statement issued from London.
